Like many women, I was completely unprepared for my own personal journey into perimenopause.
Sudden weight gain, sleep issues and a flagging libido left me questioning my value as a woman, and struggling to feel good about myself. My confidence was low, and in an effort to regain control over my body, I was making poor lifestyle choices - eating the wrong things, exercising too hard, and drinking too much.
Basically, I was a hot mess.
I share this because I'm sure many of you can relate.
So what happened?
I started learning about women’s health and the changes that occur at this time in our lives. I educated myself on the options for hormone support, including hormone therapy, as well as lifestyle modifications via nutrition, exercise and stress management.
But more importantly, I took action. I've changed the way I think about myself and my body. I've stopped looking at the negatives, and started being kinder to myself. And in doing so, I've found acceptance.
And so can you.
You see, it doesn't end at 40; it begins!
I am truly passionate about my work, and am genuinely dedicated to helping women discover that there is so much more to life.
If you are tired of feeling tired, cannot prioritise getting yourself on track and wake up with the dreaded feeling of being overwhelmed daily, I am here to offer you the right amount of comfort and the gentle nudge you need to get yourself back on course.
Remember, you are too young to settle for anything less than a brilliantly vibrant life.
You deserve this, and I will hold your hand every step of the way.
Now let's work on kicking overwhelm to the curb and get you on track to a thriving life.
Welcome to Thrive Over 40.
Working with me one-on-one, you will receive a truly personalised coaching experience.
Whether you’re looking to organise your life, balance your hormones, or lose weight, I’ll apply a holistic lens to your lifestyle, and help devise a coaching plan that meets your particular health and wellbeing goals, and integrates long-lasting habit changes into your lifestyle.
I’ll work alongside your GP, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure that your plan is both safe and aligned with your specific needs, as well as delivering the results you want and need.
Our intial consultation will involve completing a health history and lifestyle assessment, identifying your desired goals, and developing a strategy for success.
During our initial consultation, I’ll ask questions to best understand your lifestyle, areas of concern, and where you are experiencing the most challenges. Together, we will then develop a structured action plan to help you reach your goals.
Follow up sessions are tailored to your personal needs, addressing any areas of concern, and developing strategies for overcoming any challenges or roadblocks. These sessions are also an opportunity to reflect on your successes, and celebrate any wins along the way.
Between sessions, I will check in – either via SMS or email – to see how you’re doing, and how I can best support your new habits.
For optimal results, follow up sessions are best when scheduled fortnightly.
Are you ready to take that first step?
If you think you’re ready to start making improvements in your life, and reclaim the energy and vitality you once had, I’m ready and waiting to help you.
Many people find it challenging to make and maintain healthy lifestyle changes on their own. A health coach provides guidance, support, and accountability, helping clients identify and overcome barriers, set realistic goals, and develop sustainable habits. Whether you're trying to lose weight, increase your fitness level, manage stress, or improve your overall well-being, a coach can offer personalised strategies tailored to your needs.
While there might be some overlap in the roles, each professional has a distinct focus. A dietitian specialises in nutrition and dietary recommendations, a personal trainer focuses on physical exercise, while a health and wellness coach adopts a holistic approach, addressing multiple facets of well-being. A coach not only touches upon nutrition and physical activity but also explores stress management, sleep habits, mindset, and other factors influencing health.
